The Bosco Centre

What is the Bosco Centre?

Some people think it is only a NURSERY, others only an AFTERSCHOOL CLUB, others only a COLLEGE, BUT… the Bosco Centre is more than all of these; it is a place for young people and their families, from birth to adulthood:

  • to belong to and enjoy friendship
  • to celebrate together, the joyful and sometimes the sad
  • to learn together
  • to find meaning and purpose about the world and about myself.

The centre is made up of the following:

The Nursery

Children from our Nursery

The Bosco Nursery is one of the leading providers of childcare in the area and is consistently deemed a good provider by Ofsted. Our nursery caters for 34 children between the ages of 1-5 and is open from 8-6pm so parents have flexibility in dropping off and picking up their children. For our young people who want to consider childcare as a career, the nursery offers a chance to experience what it is like and help them decide on whether they would want to progress to an apprenticeship.

Junior and Senior Clubs

Our Youth Club

We run a Junior Club which offers children 5-11 lots of fun educational activities and helps them relate well to each other, learn new things and make new friends in a safe and friendly environment.

The Senior Club is for young people aged 11-15 years and offers you a place to enjoy each other’s company while learning new skills, making new friends and talking about the things that are important to you, knowing that there is someone who will listen. You are encouraged to respect your environment and each other and participate in activities you enjoy

Many of our young people who attend these clubs go on to join the college and gain qualifications. Give us a call if you want to find out more about places for the nursery or attending the youth clubs.

The Bosco college provides training and qualifications for 16 to 18 year olds. The college is a highly successful apprenticeship provider and also offers the Diamond Course to give people the skills needed for employment or preparation for the apprenticeship programme.
